The tier starts at 15 minutes free and tops out at £20 per 24 hours, and the hotel sells park-and-fly packages bundling a night with 4, 8 or 15 days in its own car park, which puts it in direct competition with the hotel and parking packages this site prices elsewhere. For a driving family with a mid-morning flight, that combination is hard to argue with.
Worth: the park-and-fly machine
Holiday Inn Worth, at Crabbet Park off Turners Hill Road near M23 Junction 10, is five to six miles from the airport and makes no secret of its real trade: behind the country-hotel frontage sits a 400-plus-space compound watched by 24-hour CCTV, with a camera scan of every car on entry and exit, 16 EV chargers, and Park, Stay and Go packages in 8, 15 or 21 day blocks. The keep-your-keys option is the differentiator, the car staying exactly where you left it with nobody else driving it, which answers the anxiety that hangs over every key-handover product at Gatwick.
The transfer is the part to plan. The hotel's own parking pages arrange airport runs by taxi through reception, roughly a ten-minute drive; some older hotel guides still advertise an hourly shuttle here, so if a bus matters to your budget, confirm what currently runs when you book rather than trusting a listing. It is the price-first pick of the three, and the brand does its usual trade: breakfast included in every rate from 06:30, simpler rooms, and no restaurant ambitions beyond it. There is no hotel transfer, so the airport leg is a taxi or the town's buses, and that cost belongs in the comparison from the start.
Its natural guest is the traveller for whom the bed is a formality: a midday flight, a car to drop elsewhere, a budget that notices £20. Against the A23 budget strip, the ibis Styles and Travelodge closer to the airfield, it competes on the included breakfast and Crawley's evening options rather than on distance, and loses the pre-dawn argument to anything with a 24-hour transfer.
Which to book for which trip
Flying early without a car: the Povey Cross hotel, because its all-night Hoppa is the only 24-hour transfer on this page, and even then the walk-to hotels at the terminals remove the last moving part for the tightest departures.
